Atari Logo

“The Fuji,” as the logo is nicknamed, has withstood the test of time and remained a constant throughout the life of the company. Designed by George Opperman, who was working at his agency Opperman-Harrington, Inc., at the time, designed the logo and explained in a 1983 interview that he referenced the game PONG (among other things) when creating the stylized A. But Atari creative director, George Faraco, claimed that wasn’t true: he says that there was no real story behind the logo.
