• Turner Duckworth has created a new logo to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Postal Service. The bald eagle has been part of the USPS logo since 1970.

The anniversary logo is meant to symbolize the service’s connection with the past, present, and future. From a release about the design: “The face of the Eagle in Flight honors the Postal Service’s roots while amplifying the notion of delivering into the future through the wings. As it takes flight, its wings show confidence and purpose, while the vibrant colors exude a spirit of celebration.”

Creative Bloq interviews Lucas Fitzpatrick, creative director and designer at Microsoft AI, about the visual identity his team created for Microsoft CoPilot. Using design to establish trust in what can feel like a scary product was essential.

From the article: “When building the product, we thought of the metaphor of a good friend or co-worker that you have a conversation with. It could be incredibly smart and they’re delivering information to you. But if they’re just delivering that information without empathy or understanding, it’s less meaningful…. When we were able to deliver information that is true, and with contextual understanding and empathy, I think we start to build trust over time.”
