Polaris was launched 65 years ago by friends who invented the snowmobile because they needed a way to enjoy the great outdoors despite snowy weather. Today, the company's brand umbrella also covers such legendary brands as Indian Motorcycle, Slingshot roadsters, and Sportsman all–terrain vehicles.

"Whether you are getting out on the sand, snow, water, trails or road, Polaris is driven to help people find innovative ways to do more outside," states a press release from the company.

The company's goal is to use the rebrand, marketing, and social media to grow its customer base by 50 percent in the next decade, reaching out to women, blacks, Latinos, millennials, and anyone else who may not be as familiar with Polaris products and related adventures.
