• Ad agency venturethree has created a new identity for cutting-edge theater Young Vic. The previous identity, a graffiti-inspired design, felt dated. But the designers retained the original brand colors of red and yellow but turned the previously flat colors into projected light that glows forward, drawing the viewer in.
“It feels young by being energetic and a little unresolved,” says creative lead Laura Oakden in an It’s Nice That interview.

• According to its website, Dance Can Do is an international charity using the transformative power of dance to uplift children and teenagers affected by illness, poverty, displacement, or other barriers that limit access to the arts.
Conran Design Group created a new identity for the organization that focuses on dance as a catalyst for change. It uses the empowering “dance can” statement to state specifically what dance can do: enrich lives, unite communities, and provide fitness, meaning, and beauty. From the CDG website: “The new logo features dynamic letterforms, with each letter conveying a sense of movement. Inspired by a variety of dance expression—from stretching and twisting to bending and leaping—it radiates energy and personality.”.

• R/GA’s new identity for One Day puts the client’s name in lights, just like the Australian record label wants to put its artists’ names up in lights.
From a Branding in Asia article: “The motion design system was developed with motion studio Never Sit Still and is built around the feeling of performing in front of a packed crowd—lights up, fans moving, the energy of a full house. The system produces light patterns that react to music, alongside a logo countdown timed to the moment of an artist’s breakthrough.”
