Publisher DK has an updated identity, created by Pentagram, which also designed the just-retired identity.
The open book element of the previous identity has been preserved, but it is greatly simplified. The typography has also been streamlined. Both changes make the logo much more legible, especially in digital and smaller applications. The new single-color design can be used in whatever colors and finishes work best for each book’s design.
DK’s new tagline, “For the curious,” targets readers who are looking for very visual non-fiction reference books on subjects that include travel, pop culture, science and nature, and history.
