Designers from four different Russian design agencies—Supremtica, Plenum, Artonika and Art.Lebedev—have created a new identity for the Russian tourism board that was inspired by Suprematism, the avant-garde art movement developed by Russian artist Kasimir Malevich.

The new design is made from 10 geometric shapes that together roughly form the shape of Russia, as seen on a map. Each shape can be filled with different colors or images. Actual objects can also be substituted for the shapes. It’s an approach that is endlessly variable, which makes it perfect for a tourism board charged with promoting an unusually large property.
