Virginia Tourism’s new marketing campaign to attract LGBT visitors is elegantly simple. Its original “Virginia is for Lovers” logo, in use since 1969, has been subtly altered by replacing its red heart with a rainbow version, representing LGBT pride. Read more here.

In a David-like strike, HealthPartners has filed a lawsuit in federal court against goliath Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., defending the health insurer’s right to use overlapping blue and green diamonds in its identity design. Wal-Mart subsidiary Sam’s Club also uses the same convention in its brand identity. Learn more here.
