• Sunshinegun has created a new identity for Veld Architects, a South African firm known for a sustainable approach to luxury architecture.

Each letter of the new wordmark has meaning: the first and fourth letters suggest elegantly understated designs, while the E represents building, brick by brick. The sharply angled L represents precision. The designers developed a seasonal palette for the new system that ties Veld to nature with colors that change with spring, summer, winter, and fall.

• NVB is a Frome, UK-based architectural firm that specializes in educational, community, and public spaces. Following a leadership change, the company wanted to put special stress on its expertise in creating inspiring educational spaces.

Supple Studio helped NVB create a new brand statement—“a different school of thought.” “This got us thinking about wooden shaped blocks and how these could be used to suggest building, learning, and human interaction—but executed in a more sophisticated and grown-up way,” explains Supple’s creative director, Jamie Ellul.

This led to the development of six modular shapes that could be used as building blocks to create a new logo and a new font. The result is a striking and playful identity that suggests NVB’s imagination and work.
