Vladan Pavlovic and Dušan Mažibrada have proposed a pair of compelling national identities for the city of Belgrade and The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (an independent province within Serbia). Neither is officially recognized, but both offer a sophisticated step forward.
The suggested flag for Vojvodina is also very smart. According to the designer, it “represents... the flat and rich fields of Serbia. The blue color represents a wide and large sky above the fertile plain....The proportions of the flag of Vojvodina are 3:2, unlike the current official flag with an unusual 2:1 ratio.”
