Helped by minority owner Jay-Z, a new Brooklyn Nets logo, all in black and white, has been born. The two primary versions were unveiled April 30 near the new Barclays Center site. Jay-Z says he was inspired by the old New York subway system, which had black and white tiles, when he suggested the color scheme. Not only is this a refreshing look for a logo of any kind, the new design represents a clear break from the red, white, and blue colors the team has sported for decades.
