• When they were launched in 1969, L’eggs reintroduced hosiery to younger wearers through its iconic egg-shaped packaging and through its extremely distinctive logo.

Designer Britt Cobb and type designer Christian Schwartz have subtly redesigned the L’eggs logo for the product’s recent relaunch. The egg-packaging is gone, but the original charm and spirit of the original Roger Ferriter design is still present.

• Octus, formerly Reorg, provides credit intelligence, data, workflow tools, and technology for buy-side firms (those that purchase stocks, bonds, and other financial products for their clients’ portfolios).

Design firm Prophet created the company’s new name and identity. The name was inspired by the word oculus, which is Latin for eye, suggesting the client’s vision and ability to reveal insights. The kaleidoscope-like logo contains eight segments, referencing another meaning for octo, or “eight.” Called the “Octolens,” the design also suggests vision and discovery.
