The public relations consulting company has been in business since 1927. There’s no word on who created the new branding, but as part of the international conglomerate WPP, H+K likely had plenty of advice, including from inside its own walls.
The full name lock-up has a modified ampersand at its center, and much of the new visual identity is built around this mark’s crosspiece. The literal cross creates four quadrants/shapes that can be used as individual frames, as transparent windows, and as graphic shapes. The cross also forms the center of the new logo, a bold HK mark with an embedded plus sign.
The new design subtly mimics the company’s checkerboard-like identity. From a company press release (of course) about the new branding: “The new visual identity telegraphs boldness, modernity and stature, paying homage to the company’s heritage while looking confidently towards its next era.”
