• People People has created a new logo and identity for Western States Arts Federation, now renamed Creative West. The new design is built from six line segments, each one a different color, that represent the six members of the original federation. The flowing line and colors are used as graphics throughout the new identity.

• Studio Kiln has created a new identity for creative agency Mayda. The client’s name came from a legendary island of the same name that appeared on 14th- and 16th-century maps but which never really existed.

Studio Kiln wanted to express how the Mayda team constantly looks beyond existing horizons for new creative solutions. “Our identity really embraces that, building on the metaphor by putting the perspective point of the horizon at the heart of the brand. To express that, we expanded the central U of the logo into a dynamic portal that leads us in different directions,” explains creative director Nathan Smith.
