The fund’s previous logo combined the symbols for male and female. The new logo uses shapes from those symbols to create a butterfly, a more inclusive symbol.
From the Amplify Change website: “Butterflies universally symbolize freedom and equality. The work we fund represents not just the importance of [sexual and reproductive health and rights] to further gender equality, but centers the initiatives and movements for freedoms across the spectrum of SHE.”
The new branding uses vibrant colors and the accent patterns inspired by the countries and regions that the fund serves. The shapes in the patterns echo shapes used in the logo as well.
