The previous design spoke mostly about the orchestra’s location, while the new design addresses geography plus music and the people involved.
- The B’s geometry matches that of the architecture and history of Brooklyn.
- The S has the flow of music: through thicks and thins and visual silences, it demonstrates the behavior and beauty of music.
- The O’s dots represent the many people—performers, support staff, and audience members—who work together to make the organization succeed.
The Partners is also developing software that will allow the identity to visually interpret and animate music in real time.
