Dolphin, a company that supplies smart, well-designed washroom components to architects, wholesalers, and builders had an excellent reputation, plus enthusiastic employees and excellent customer service. But its brand message did not reflect these assets. Taxi Design studied the study of dolphins—called cetelogy—to create an elegant, adaptable, and intelligent brand message.
The new identity is thorough. For example, each Dolphin sub-brand carries its own bespoke pattern based on markings from a different dolphin species. Perhaps the biggest change was a switch from a traditional, clunky, printed sales catalog to an efficient and well-designed e-commerce site. The Taxi team also worked closely with Dolphin employees so that they could be champions and protectors of the brand once the new identity was released.
