Before illustrator Haddon Sundblom created the very definition of a jolly Santa for Coca-Cola in 1931, Santa definitely looked like the kind of guy who only gave out coal and creepy vibes. Sundblom’s rebrand cemented Santa as the anti-Belsnickel of American Christmas.

But after 87 years, is Santa ready for a makeover? GraphicSprings.com put together a survey that asked people what they preferred to see in their Santa. It’s all very tongue-in-cheek, but some of the results raise interesting questions of their own.
