In 2017, the design team at Johnson Banks launched an intriguing daily exercise, meant to provide their brains with an every day, early–morning workout. The result is a visual diary of daily news and moods, which have now been gathered in a small book and in a collection of 12 posters that are being distributed to colleges and other interested groups.
An explanation from the design agency's website: "What if we decided what was interesting on any one day, designed something to match, and pushed it out into the world through social media?"
The rules for each exercise are simple: the image must be square, each design had to be monochromatic (this changed over time), and its completion could take no longer than 15 minutes.
