Franki is an app that allows users to browse videos or search a map to find restaurants that offer cash back, to activate the offer before they visit their selection, and to accrue rewards just for eating out. It sort of gamifies the dining-out experience.

Koto created a new identity for Franki built on the strapline, “Make time dance,” that differentiates it from other restaurant-search apps. The logo is a fanciful eye that comes to life when animated. The half-circles surrounding the eye resemble chairs set around a table, while the drop shapes on either side can act like a tongue or salivating for delicious food.

“The logo became more than a signature,” says Melissa Baillache, Koto executive CD. “It morphs into a character that can guide, react and celebrate, giving Franki a clear emotional language across the product. Around it, type, colour, motion and imagery work as one lively system, making every interaction feel warm, intuitive and unmistakably Franki.”
