Created by artist Luc Melanson, the design is meant to represent the city’s identity and origins. The art on the covers includes a fleur-de-lis for the city’s French roots, a rose for its English influences, a thistle for its Scottish bloodlines, and a shamrock for its Irish provenance. At the center is a white pine for the region’s Indigenous communities.
