The New York Times continues to build its brand as a hero for truth in a new campaign called “Independent Journalism for an Independent Life.”

In 2020 and 2021, The New York Times branding campaigns were titled “Life Needs Truth” and “The Truth Takes a Journalist,” respectively. Like those efforts, the 2022 uses Times photos and typefaces in emotive collages that help readers understand the integral role that quality journalism and, by extension, The New York Times, plays in public life today.

From a NYT release, the new ads “feature Times subscribers, weaving their individual narratives with the headlines that best reflect their interests, painting a picture of who they are, how they think and how the stories they engage with inspire how they live.”
