FutureBrand has rebranded biotech company PerkinElmer, Inc., as Revvity, a name formed from the words “revolutionize” and vita (life in Latin).
From a client press release: “Revvity provides health science solutions, technologies, expertise and services that deliver complete workflows from discovery to development, and diagnosis to cure.”
The new Revvity logo is unusual for a scientific company: it’s doesn’t have a precise, clinical feel. But its design may better reflect the scientific process of discovery. Connections are being made, and patterns are formed in the uniform line that flows through the wordmark.
Daniel Anderson, CCO of FutureBrand explains the design. “The lowercase wordmark embodies the humble approachable personality and at the same time represents a company always pushing forward, never standing still. A feeling of momentum and unity.”
