New Logos in the Air

  • To celebrate its 60th anniversary, China Airlines is using a special commemorative logo that combines three images: the number 60, the word “GO,” and the infinity symbol. Only specific liveries and routes will feature the new identity.
  • It's “out with the gold and in with the blue,” according to United Airlines officials regarding its fleet's new livery.

    This change will not make Saul Bass fans happy, as it does not bring back his tulip design as some had hoped. (By the way, the tulip design has its own fan page on Facebook with more than 5,000 members and daily posts.) Instead, it transforms the globe element—an identity remnant from Continental Airlines, which United merged with in 2010—from gold to blue.
