Modern-ized Identity


Modern Bread has been an iconic brand in India for more than 50 years. Its color-sprinkle packaging is nearly synonymous with bread in that country. When Modern was acquired by Everstone Capital in 2016, Saffron was brought in to refresh the brand so that it was more relevant for younger generations.


Ad and Stationary

Saffron designers built on brand equity by updating the package sprinkle pattern and colors, and added striping conventions. They also reworked the wordmark in such a subtle way that it is still feels very familiar, yet refreshed. The new system easily accommodates existing products and is adaptable enough to welcome new food lines and packaging.
