The University of Western Ontario unveiled a new identity and logo this week as well as an important name change. Although officially the name remains the same, the university will be known as Western University or simply Western in communications, marketing, and online. The identity was created by Hahn Smith Design in Toronto. The logotype itself was crafted by Ian Brignell, a Toronto-based lettering and logo designer, and called the Hellmuth font after Westerns founder Bishop Isaac Hellmuth.uwo.ca | communications.uwo.ca
