Serbian designer Vladan Pavlovic has created a proposed identity for the Republic of Serbia.
Pavlovic also proposes a new flag design based on the five principles of the North American Vexillogical Association.
- Keep it simple.
- Use meaningful symbolism.
- Use two to three basic colors.
- No letters or seals.
- Be distinctive or be related.
The new flag carries a simple rosette to symbolize peace, a mark that could help the country move forward and away from the lasting impacts of the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s. (Visuals from Dezeen.)
