Featured in LogoLounge Book 13: Gabagool Media and Lauren Griffin of Typogriff

When you land a new client who is an extremely creative celebrity chef, you know it’s going to be a fun day. Independent designer Lauren Griffin enjoyed just such an experience when she created a new logotype for Christian Petroni and his new company, Gabagool Media. Gabagool is Italian-American slang for capicola

“Like [Christian] says, it’s all about the food and having fun with it,” Griffin says.

Griffin, who relishes vintage type and illustration styles, ultimately created a retro-style design that includes a script made entirely of linked sausages—not an easy task, but definitely fun. Learn how she actually built the design and solved legibility and technical issues in the new book, LogoLounge 13, available now here.
