Mesosphere may be one of many San Francisco start-ups bent on making cloud networks more accessible, but it has been given a refreshingly innovative logo by Brett Wickens of Ammunition. Wickens designed the Sopranos logo, and for Mesosphere he accomplished a similarly meaningful typography for the word mark and icon. The logotype takes advantage of the unique occurrence of all curved letters in lowercase, and the logo itself was generated by plugging a monogram “M” into a custom built app that tweaks its shape and color according to the designers’ preferences. The result is a logo that self-transforms over time.
