Calvin Klein Shifts to Caps

Old vs. New Logo

On the cusp of New York’s Fashion Week, designer Peter Saville, working with new Calvin Klein chief creative officer, has redesigned the iconic fashion logo. It’s the first time that the mark has changed substantially since the 1970s (although individual clothing seasons did previously feature all-caps variations).

The Instagram introduction of the remade mark does not indicate if there will be a “ck” shorthand, as the original design used. In the meantime, fashion being what it is, the debut of the new design has pushed the old design to even greater popularity as zealots clamber onto Etsy and other vintage sources for original garments.
