Buy, Click, Plant

Many browser extensions offer points or cash back to online shoppers. Freetree provides a completely different perk: the opportunity to plant a tree somewhere in the world where trees are sorely needed.

How&How created the identity for the new app, which is still in beta. From the design firm’s website: “Centering around our brand idea of ‘unleashing fuzz,’ we designed a family of smooth leaves and personified trees, which popped and wobbled under the weight of foliage which grew with each ‘click’ online. We designed an icon [that] fused the two core elements of the brand—a cursor and a pine tree—which we then rolled out into the Freetree cursor itself.... The primary typeface was Champ, by Typeverything, chosen for its hugely expressive carved inktraps and bouncy vibe.”
