A Literal, Visual Merger

The recent Viacom/CBS merger has resulted in a new identity that is A) extremely corporate, B) highly legible as a broadcast graphic, and C) very straightforward as a printed graphic. The literal name smush has disappointed some, given that both parties have a rich visual history from which to draw. The agency that created the design has not been announced.
