Crate & Barrel's Ampersand

The well-loved retailer of home furnishings will launch a new ad campaign featuring little else than its logo's renowned ampersand. Created by TBWA/Chiat/Day Los Angeles, the commercials pair two words in black type in the Helvetica font of the Crate & Barrel logo with an ampersand between them, mirroring the brand name.

I agree with Jeff. I think they need to keep the tight letterspacing, as that is an essential part of the logo, and helps convey "Crate&Barrel."

Smart. Could work well. I think the brand can afford to do this without losing momentum.
