A New Logo Design for Domino's?

There is a possibility of Domino’s taking the "Pizza" out of its logo design. The franchise's Australasia operation is the first international platform to unveil a new word mark, revealed on the Domino's New Zealand Facebook page. It is yet to be determined whether the United States will follow suit.

True, the font choice is not the best. Especially "s" looks poor.

I agree it's not mind blowing, but it's not worse than the original.

Less strong as a unit, but don't mind it, am assuming the business is moving beyond pizza's

My eye is constantly drawn towards the apostrophe in Domino's - seems a bit obtrusive and large

They have achieved a more prominent use of Domino's. The biggest loss is the integrated name/symbol placed dynamically on its point. Instead we have a symbol leaning on the name. The tradeoff might be worth it in a place where Domino's is less well known but then we lose Pizza.

Hm, I'm not a fan personally. The font choice looks a bit amateurish and the mark actually takes context away from the logo. I can see what they've removed, but what have they added exactly?
